Batu Ferringhi Beach of Hard Rock

The first night in Penang, we choose to stay with Hard Rock. Their swimming pool is superb big and the experience of staying this hotel is really good. We would rate 7 out of 10. When we check in to this hotel, there were welcome drink for us and also he downloaded the voucher from HardRock Facebook page to upgrade our room from hillview to seaview deluxe room. There was ipod/ iphone audio player for you to connect your device to their speaker too. Overall, it is worth to stay a night here with the access to the largest pool in Penang.

After take a nap in our room, we heading to James Foo western restaurant to have our dinner. It is one of the famous western restaurant in Penang. We love their food, and the price is reasonable as well. Even though we going on Thursday, but there was still crowded and we need to wait quite a long time for our food, roughly 20 minute, is it acceptable?

After we check out HardRock, we heading to our second staying place, Chymes hotel which located at Tanjung Bungah. Both of us were attracted by its 6 different theme of room. Chymes only having 6 available rooms with different type of design. It is actually a bungalow style home and it quite hard to find out as it  located in the residential area. We choose aquamarine room as our stay, and it is another great experience of stay in Penang again. Their bed is superb comfortable and their open style bath room is huge enough. Another unique of this hotel is they provide different choice of body wash for you to choose, you can choose any flavor of body wash in their menu. Comparing with Hard Rock, both are great for us but with different experience, Hard Rock give us a kind of staying experience with a pure hotel feel but Chymes giving us a pure home stay feel. Depending which kind of experience you prefer, you will have your choice.

After settle all our things in hotel, we heading to find our food again. The first station we stop is Penang Road cendol and the asam laksa in the Joo Hooi Cafe which beside that cendol stall. The cendol is nice, but we still prefer Malacca cendol which with Malacca gula, that was superb nice. The asam laksa is taste nice and I think it is quite famous in Penang. Next, we proceed to find the famous loh bak in town which located at Kheng Pin Cafe. First time we having lok bak which include ubi, it is quite unique for KL people like us. Next, we pass by Kek Seng coffee shop, of course as a food lover, we definely will go try out their famous homemade durian ice cream. After having our dessert, we heading over to Siam road to get his most expecting food in this tour, Siam road CKT, think he was attracted by the style of that uncle in some blog post. No disappointed, and I could say it is worth to wait that long time just for a CKT, it should be the best CKT in Penang, looking to the style of that uncle cooking with charcoal, definitely you will stop by and order for a plate of CKT from him.
